Seattle Fire Festival, Saturday June 4th at Bell Street Park, Seattle 11:00am- 4:00pm

Brought to you by Seattle Parks and Recreation, The Seattle Fire Festival is a family friendly, all ages, free public event commemorating the re-birth of Seattle’s business district following the Great Seattle Fire of June 6, 1889.

Saturday, June 4th at the Bell Street Park in Seattle (between 4th & 5th Ave on Bell St.)

Seattle Fire Festival

Event begins at 11:00am with a fire cadet honor guard.

Children’s activities include:

Join children’s book author T.J. Spencer with Nozzlehead Books for book readings from his Nozzlehead Adventure Series
Interact and watch fire cadets while displaying their fire fighting skills
Face painting
Bouncy house
Panning for gold
Explore the fire fighter gear
Fire engines on display
Fire safety related activities
Arts and craft activities and much much more…
1:00pm-  There will be a 30 minute presentation on The Great Seattle Fire.
Compete in a contest to see if you are “faster than a fire cadet” in getting geared up.
3:00pm-  The Seattle Fire Chief will present the fastest contest participants (that are not fire cadets) a certificate and T-shirts!

There will also be information on the fire service, first aid and CPR education materials.

Learn about the Last Resort Fire Department, a 501(c)3 that restores, preserves and displays Seattle Fire Department history.

Don’t miss this fun and exciting event to celebrate fire fighters and learn about the history of The Great Seattle Fire.
